Centralized Health Fund

The current health care insurance system is in dire need of change. We propose a flat income tax for all businesses and corporations based on their net profits. The revenue generated from this tax would be required to go into a centralized health fund. The money would go directly from the fund to pay for medical costs instead of into the pockets of for-profit health insurance companies. Medical services for all Americans would eventually be paid through this fund. Although people may still use private health care insurance to supplement medical costs, there may be reduced incentives to do so.
A centralized health fund will create a win-win situation for both industry and labor. Businesses will no longer need to pay for private health insurance for their employees. Therefore, they can hire employees to work more hours. Employees will earn more money and enjoy life more fully.
